The Shipwreck Lounge is a small beachfront residence located in Namibia that imitates the concept of a ship’s trunk and marine biota framework
We have had experience from looking at various house designs but the architects have given a beauty that amazes, and impressed us, one of which is this house. The first impression when you see this beachfront house is something that is surprising because its shape imitates the concept of a ship’s trunk.
This building is named Skeleton Coast Namibia, the northwest area around the coast of the country has many remains of the remains of wild animal skeletons as well as many shipwrecks that are not used because they are damaged. it makes the surrounding conditions so beautiful. Called the Shipwreck Lodge, the building that stands in the middle of the ship’s trunk was prepared and arranged by architects named Nina Maritz and Melanie Van Der Merwe. This occupancy makes the ship’s trunk very nice and slick. Although it looks like a ship that has been damaged from the outside, this residence presents a good interior view with the concept of decoration in the past but still makes the occupants feel like they are on a ship.
The circular window adds a ray of light from the outside to the inside also provides a beautiful view, wrapped with wood and also there are lots of ropes and also antique knick-knacks made of metal so that it adds support to the atmosphere of an old ship. The asymmetrical door design makes this residence look more attractive, a place to sleep that is squeezed in a narrow room. The curtains become the separator between the rooms, and still maintains the impression of a ship that has run aground. This residence has complete furniture so that it can be used when you visit here to enjoy the holiday atmosphere on the weekend.
The energy source comes from the attractive power of the sun, it also features views of the sand dunes that look like ocean waves so when you are in this habitat, it makes you feel like you are sailing the ocean even though you are actually on land. Around the residence there is also a large ocean called the Atlantic Ocean.
The asymmetrical entrance also has a circular window that is large enough to fit on a ship
Attached wood and existing rigging make the ship feel strong without compromising on comfort
Lots of rare furniture made of copper and brass to maintain an antique and classic impression
Blue lace fabric divides the room, almost exactly the same as the ship that ran aground
At the night, this residence looks so beautiful and contrasts with the surrounding atmosphere, as well as other residences
